Also be careful....our paper money has gone through a change. Our money now feels rather like a plastic film, LOL. Be careful counting it out as it is rather flimsy, my opinion. The good side, the new money wears better, manages to survive the washer but can be damaged in the dryer. Our new bills are brighter in colour.
It is right we do not use pennies. Total amounts are rounded up or down. 52 cents would be 50 and 53 cents would be 55. You can still give "Canadian" pennies but the store will not give any back. If you debit or credit you will be charged the exact amount, no rounding up or down.
