Mt. McKinley is once again Denali

President Obama has just changed the name of the mountain:

Article on renaming

So will they now start to call it "McKinley National Park?"

And in other news, the president will once again be known as "Barry." ;)

  • Wasn't his idea. Requested by a republican governor and a republican lesgislator....and practically all Alaskan citizens. Since the park was renamed Denali no one has called the mountain McKinley anyway...but isn't Boehner from Ohio???
  • Who cares, a rose by any other name smells as sweet or something like that.

Well Capt. Cook never set foot on land there but **** near everything around Anchorage is named after him or the expression he used in exasperation while sailing along the coast line - Turnagain.

  • I understand most folks around there have been calling it that for years.
