Mt Shasta, CA to Klamath, CA
Do I go north from Mt Shasta to Grants Pass and take US-199 West or do I go South from mt Shasta and take CA-299 West? Any pros and cons?

I-5 to US-199 is both shorter in distance and time. Pretty Redwoods also.
