Mudslides close WA20

The latest rain storms have again closed WA20. This time the mudslides are in the area between Rainy Pass and Washington Pass.

WA410 from Yakima to Rainier is also closed due to mudslides, though in this case there is a detour near by.

And US2 through Tumwater Canyon will be closed next week for bridge work. Alternatives are Chumstake Canyon (not recommended for big vehicles) and US97.

Skagit River bridge work
At the I5 end of WA20, they are starting to deliver the girders for the permanent replacement span. They are long enough that the rear set of wheels have their own driver.
