Yes, we're glad we still have each other ! The pain, we think, comes not from having to buy another truck - that would be a distraction and a move in the right direction. The real pain is in having to go through this process that is much more complicated and time-consuming than it would be at home, where a police report and full information would pretty much sew it up. In our province we have a single title/registration document that must be carried in the vehicle. It is proof of ownership and insurance and is all you need to sell the vehicle. The document clearly states on it "owner", owner's address, owner's driver lic number, owners signature, etc for a total of about 5 times, yet they will not accept this as proof of ownership. We have no separate "title" papers and the original registration they want is a paper that once filed is never seen or needed again. Ah well, -RYV
