Now, I suppose I won't be their favourite person, but I answered thus :
Do I understand you correctly that you will provide NO services or assistance to Canadian citizens who are not in the state of Jalisco ? That, my friend, is simply astounding. If we manage to stagger over the border of Jalisco, we'll contact you at that time ! Ron Mitchell
Each Embassy or Consulate has their own territory and CAN NOT provide you any assistance outside of that. There is one that is responsible for the area you are in and they have forwarded the message there, they have done what they could.
