darbone; Sorry but in most cases Insurance will not pay until you jump through all the hoops and pay the up to 30% import fees! Even then the insurance is not like in the USA or Canada. I am sorry that both of these people had this problem but we all be watching the outcome. It will be a lesson for all! There will be many wanabees that after seeing these posts will just forget about going to Mexico. Sure it was 2 unrelated incidents but it is all about perception. If you had never been to Mexico and were seriously considering a trip and saw these threads what would you do? Most would say: Forget about dirty vehicles, Lojacks, etc. I will go elsewhere.
