darbone:: If you look back in the forum I posted the info on how you go about getting your sticker canceled once the vehicle is stolen and not recovered. If the TIP is still valid I don't think the insurance company wants to do any payouts. It could be that the law does not allow them to pay if the TIP is outstanding. That is one way Aduana can be sure of getting their money. At one time if you totaled a vehicle the insurance company required you to take the car to the border (or maybe an Aduana office) and they would not pay until the TIP was canceled. It is ridiculous that a person who has been robbed at gunpoint and without a vehicle yet Aduana wants duty on a vehicle you will never see again. Mexican logic!
