I see a few who have posted here are Alaskan natives (small "n"). As someone who was born and raised there I'd have to agree with what they wrote. I sort of disagree with the statement above though as I think Robert W Service, the poet laureate of the Yukon, came pretty darn close to describing the allure of the lands to the north.
