Myrtle Beach to Branson in the Fall

DH and I have a 34' Class A with toad and would like input on best route to take from Myrtle Beach, SC to Branson, Missouri in the Fall. Interstates or not - not an issue. We are retired and can take our time. Thanks.
  • I let Google Maps show me the way with verification from a truckers atlas.
  • In the fall I would take the northern route through Asheville, Knoxville, Nashville, then I-40 US65 at Conway AR. Beautiful scenery, lots to see and do along the way. In Sevierville we stay at River Plantation RV Resort. We like a small campground in Crossville TN called Spring Lake RV Resort. Outside Nashville is Seven Points Campground on Percy Priest Lake. Or there are plenty of commercial campgrounds where you can get satellite or cable TV if that's important. In Memphis, Tom Sawyer's RV Park on the MS River. It's in West Memphis AR. In Little Rock we like Maumelle Corps of Engineers Park on the Arkansas River. (they were widening the entry road when we were there last so I would check on that). We stayed at Shenanigans in Branson but would look for something else. Shenanigans was convenient but tight to maneuver into. Sites close together.
  • I-40 to Little Rock then US65 to Branson is probably the easiest route. Bypasses around Nashville and Memphis. US65 is a pretty good road, 2 lane divided most of the way.

Several places to stay in Branson. We did Shenanigans but will probably stay at Lakeside next time. Table Rock SP is nmice as well, just outside of Branson proper.
