Myrtle Beach to Niagara Falls

The most obvious route is up I90 but that goes to all the places I like to avoid, like Washington DC. It's a dense route with lots of traffic. From MB I like to go a little west and go straight up the Shenandoah Valley from around Winston Salem. When I did that I would basically find my way right up to just barely west of Buffalo NY. That's essentially at Niagara Falls. From there you can go east towards Cooperstown, along I85 or there are routes to take just north sticking along the lake, or farther sound, hitting Seneca to visit the Corning Glass works, Watkins Glen is a great town, all sorts of neat places along there.
