Natchez Trace Pkwy

We will be traveling the Natchez Trace Pkwy next month with a 39 ft fifth wheel. Does anyone know if there will be pulloffs that we will be able to stop at with this size rig ?
  • We've driven the Trace and absolutely loved it. I think we stopped at every site. No problems navigating anywhere. Took forever, but well worth it. Speed is 50 mph. One thing you REALLY need to take the first time you drive the Trace ... and that is "Time". Take your time. This route is definitely not a route to be racing over.
  • I have been traveling the Trace regularly for many years, still love it. I will caution however some of the older historical marker pull-overs are quite short and if some other vehicle is parked there it can get tight. In my 40' DP I would have to skip some but there are many that I can stop at. Have a great trip, I will probably be on the Trace next month for another family visit.
  • Look for the book. There is an historical marker about every other mile.

We love it and are about to run it again.

    Matt
  • It is a beautiful and very relaxing drive! Speed limit is 50 mph, and strict about it, but you can do about 53 okay. I live near it...
  • And there is no charge for the campgrounds....first come first serve and sometime a shared site. Best of pleasant drive and generally little traffic.
  • Thanks Bgum. We have already made reservations off the Trace, but wanted to be able to stop along the way and see the sights !! :)
  • Yes and pull offs are well marked as to size restrictions. The campgrounds on the trace do no have hookups but can handel any size rig as they are pull thrus.
