Natchez Trace

I am planning a trip for us to Natchez, MS, and then north on the Trace the first week of May. We also want to see the Vicksburg National Military Park since we will be close by.

I thought we could also see the Little River Canyon National Preserve in NE Alabama on the way home plus Andersonville National Historic Site in Georgia. Should make for a great loop. (We live near Ocala.)

Any other suggestions for places not to miss?
