National and State Parks

I thought I already asked this question, but I could not find it. Sorry if this is redundant. Being new to this forum, I am still on the learning curve.
I am wondering if the Alaskan National or State Parks have electrical hookups? I have read mentions of dump stations and potable water stations but no mention of electricity.
Thanks, cfin1964
  • Alaska State Parks - I haven't seen any indication of electrical hookups from the web.

Denali is the only NP with campgrounds - and no hookups.

The USFS campground at Mendenhall Lake/ Glacier outside Juneau has some FHU sites. Do remember that you must take a ferry to get to rig to Juneau. From Homer is the shortest distance.

  • With the ready admission that I haven't RV'd in many places in Alaska (car/backpack/airplane are my methods) and I can't speak for Denali, I think it's safe to say that most SP's don't have electric. Many SP's and almost all the NP's aren't on the road system....based on a decidedly unscientific quick run through of what I recall without research.
