First stop, Clemmons NC at the county park called. Tanglewood. About 5.5 hours from where you start. Sevierville TN could be a 2nd stop. From there you can go into the Great Smoky Mountains park, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) and to Gatlinburg. We like River Plantation RV Park in Sevierville. Maybe Nashville, We liked Two Rivers RV Park. From there you could drop down and take US 64 to Memphis. There's an RV Park south of Memphis we like: E-Z Daze RV Park in Southaven MS. You can take 49/70 over to Little Rock. Stop in Hot Springs AR. Lots to see and do there. Duck boats, gangster museum, etc. From Hot Springs, we take US270 west to US 71 north to Fort Smith. Railroad museum in Forth Smith and ride the old trolley. Stop in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City National Memorial, Cowboy Hall of Fame, Softball museum, 45 Infantry Museum, National Softball Hall of Fame. In Oklahoma City, stay at either Tinker AFB, or we like Twin Fountains RV park, owned by former Marine. My son lives outside Lawton. He was in the Army and never came back to Florida! We go there once or twice a year. We like the Medicine Creek little RV park right on base. There is another larger RV park on Lake Elmer Thomas, but it's a bit too far out of town for our liking. Enjoy your grandson and the trip. Make some great memories!!
