. . .Good Morning. . .To answer some of your questions: Canyon de Chelly is AWESOME to say the least; we were blown away by the beauty! ( we plan on going back again for a longer visit - was there in October & got RAIN! ) Chile is a small unkempt town with just the basics tho. . . Panamint Springs Resort is in DV on the Western end of the park; has all the amenities plus bar, restaurant, lodging & fuel across the street; suggest a hike to Darwin Falls if you go there - Google it )( Was there in February & got rain & snow ). . .Just South East of DV is the town of Shoshone, CA They have a warm volcanic water fed swimming pool that is WONDERFUL at their RV Park. . .It is basic but with all the amenities. . .Fuel is EXTREMELY costly in Shoshone, CA but cost effective in Pahrump, NV. . .You might also catch of the desert tortoise while in Shoshone!! ( They have some in a fenced in area behind the motel where you can even feed them. . . If there make sure to visit China Ranch also; maybe 15 miles away from Shoshone - again Google them. . .
