Need recommendations for Arizona, New Mexico trip

I never really worried about fuel in either state. I tend to top the tank off when it gets down below the half way point and while towns can be far apart in that area they generally all carry diesel. The two times I was very worried about fuel was in eastern Oregon where my truck took 32 gallons when I finally found a station and a few weeks ago going to the west side of RMNP. I incorrectly assumed that most of those small towns would have diesel. Wasn't as bad as OR tho...heh.
