Need recommendations for Arizona, New Mexico trip

We are planning a trip where we have never been before and would like some advice and suggestions. The wife and I retired this summer and have a 2017 Ford dually diesel 4X4 and a 34 foot 5th wheel....

Politically incorrect but my favorite NM stop is the NRA Whittington Center. You don’t have to be a member or have any interest in hunting or the shooting sports.

It’s 10s of thousands of acres right on the old Sante Fe Trail near Raton. Great views in all directions. An old mining town to explore. Miles of trails and backroads.
