Need suggestions on trip to the PNW

IMHO, you're trying too much in way too short a time frame. You've even missed the Grand Canyon! You do know you cannot travel on Hwy 1 in California so any trip along the coast will have to be in your toad so consider that. In Oregon, you've missed Mt.St.Helens which is better than Mt. Ranier. Sisters, Oregon should be on your list as well. Touring the Columbia River Gorge stopping at the Bonneville Locks should also be on your list. The Column at Astoria should be too. Again, IMO I would stay on US101 all along and up the coast to the Olympic peninsula. Visit the Ho rainforest and the Northwesternmost point in the contiguous US. Stay in Port Townsend and take the ferry across to Vancouver Is. (Victoria) and the gardens. Tour Whidbey Is. Be sure you do Hurricane Ridge outside Port Angeles. Way too much to do in the time frame you've provided...(I could go on and on but my head hurts thinking about it)..Dennis
