Never drive interstate

If you care to read more about the Interstate system, Wikipedia has an excellent section on it. Pretty interesting. President Eisenhower was instrumental in creating it, and required that one mile sections had to be absolutely straight every so often. That way, planes could land on them in time of war, since runways would be a good target for an enemy.

When you do you will be 2 miles from my place. We drove 50 from here to US-385 in Colorado in '2002. Nice trip.

Our bucket list includes towing US 50 the 3073 miles it is from OC MD to Sacramento CA. The sign is just before the draw bridge headed west out of town, and just seems like a fun trip. I'm guessing a month.

I traveled over 30 thousand miles in 1961 and 62 on my motorcycle, I worked long and hard and than took the money and traveler. I was loaded when I came to Az. very little education (as you can tell from my spelling in the past couple years on RV net)to live in 1962, if I remember right I had 92 dollars and a motorcycle. I made $1700, my first year of work, than jumped way up to $7200 the next year. One of those years is what made me loaded, I forget which one it was now.

I am so dyslexic I had to look up dyslexic to know how to spell it and than barely got it done, people don't under stand how someone can write a few line reread it and not see that you have spelled three or four word wrong but they look right when you read it the seventh time, and then they beat up on you. this is why god has let me see the answer to problems so fast and others never can understand the easy way to do thing, yet they think they got a A in school so they are the smart one. Hubby is very educated and STILL can't spell! He's dyslexic. Good spelling isn't necessarily a sign of intelligence.

When my son gets out of college then we'll be more willing to take some risk or get a little crazy. Until then it's trudgery and drudgery.

While on the Interstate, if all I see is the rear door of a semi then I am not driving correctly. I should be far enough back to see his mirrors and have a good look at the "big picture" far down the road. Focusing on just the back end of the vehicle ahead is bad practice.

Interstates take such a pounding with the big trucks the two lanes are usually smoother.
