There is a campground right in the town of Lunenburg, all the waterfront is within walking distance down over the hill..
Rissers Beach/Green Bay is nice.
Loads of nice beaches in Queens County, N.S....Provincial and private campgrounds and National Park at Kedji.as well as the National Park Adjunct at Port Joli if you like a short seaside hike...
Provincial Park in Shelburne area is a nice one.
Visit all the lighthouses...
Take all the coastal roads and stay off the 100 series highways if you have the time...
If it is a hot day, head to the nearest headland with Southwest facing shoreline...plus 30C inland will instantly turn to about 18C with natural air conditioning turned on and the wind blowing onshore......(In southern N.S.)
Very little traffic or congestion around here as all have moved out West...
