We just finished watching a great made-for-tv series on the Maritimes (in HD). If you watch this, it'll give you a good idea of where to go.

I lived on Newfoundland for 24.5 years!
This is 52 minutes on the WEST COAST of NEWFOUNDLAND from Stephenville to the beginning of the more level part of the Northern Peninsula.
- It's aerial with a British Columbia by line.
- Sign up for newsletters from the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for more land level cultural videos of that place and a different perspective.
- On the West Coast of NL it skips key places: Port aux Basques, Codroy Valley, world heritage side L'Anse aux Meadows and Saint Anthony for a few.
I'd take bets it was made before the Canada Winter Games were centred on Corner Brook in 1999, since it mentions no winter activities, especially skiing and even seems to imply there are a few mountains in Canada east of The Rockies - skipping mention of the Laurentians........
& BTW The Maritimes means Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward island. NOT including Newfoundland and Labrador.
Atlantic Canada means those 3 provinces from the Canada before 1949 and Newfoundland and Labrador. Joey established that. It's especially the Newfoundlanders who notice if you miss that. {{{I learned that in my job interview :o}}}}
But remember 52 minutes.
;)
