If going to PEI last time I checked it was always cheaper to go over on the ferry and come back the bridge. All good points of interest listed above but I will add to it the loop from Amherst to Truro, NS via hwy 209. Travel through to the Joggins Fossil centre, through Advocate (Old Shipyard Beach Campground), into Parrsboro, and onto Truro. Makes the trip approx. 120 kms longer and ALOT more scenic than hwy 104. There is a lot or twists and turns going this rte and it runs right along the coast for the most part.
