New Caney going S thru or around Houston - route??

We'll be staying in New Caney, then heading for Rockport. I will be driving MH pulling a toad, and have a problem with heights. I really prefer not to be driving a house that's pulling a Jeep on a f...

59 south 8east/south 288 south 35 south. Leave New Caney about 10 am. Not a bad trip once everyone is at work and off the road

Texas 2 lane secondary roads are better and wider than a lot of main roads in a lot of states.. Not a bad trip once everyone is at work and off the road.

Houston and Atlanta are the new Chicago and LA.
