We made several one night stops at New Green Acres. There's nothing fancy about it, very long pull thru sites that are dirt and fairly level from what we've seen. It's right on the highway but that's never bothered us. I don't think I'd want to be there more than overnight.
This about sums it up. We have been maybe 8-10 times over the years, and never got their early enough to catch the office open, or left late enough to see it reopen in the morning. They have a great self check-in shed with a writing desk, forms, maps, envelopes, and maybe even a pen if your lucky. The have massive grassy pull thrus, and typically many available without a reservation. As for being there longer than an overnight, I agree. It's one of those places where the wife and I comment about how unpleasant it would be to spend a few days there, as it's right up against the shoulder of I-95, and unless you are inside your rig, it's LOUD. Because of this I always pick a site as far away from the road as possible. The setting is actually pretty nice, as the sites are located between tons of large pine trees. The earlier comment about price is curious. Over the last two decades I have always found it to be substantially cheaper than most CGs on the interstate. IIRC, earlier this winter we paid $26 or so.
