Just a heads up - there is a section of 1 lane construction right now on 84 west of Port Jervis ( NY Exit 1). There are often delays during heavy traffic times. But overall not a bad route at all.
If you choose to take 87 to 287 in NJ to 78 west to 81 fuel up in NJ. Fuel is MUCH less expensive than either NY or PA.
