Ran US-54 in a big truck, always liked to get off the "I roads" when I could. Liberal KS was always a nice stop. There is the Seven Winds RV Park there. Never stopped but it's part of Good Sam.
Stop by "Dorothy's House" while your in town.
The truck stop on the west side of town use to have a nice thick cut pork chop that was worth the stop.
That truck stop is no longer there. 7 Winds is an older park been there for years. It has some shade and will be the cheapest. The Wi-Fi and cable TV work great. There is usally some work campers there. A newer park East of town with absolatly no shade and never will be. Every thing is crushed rock (gravel) . There are some spots at the fair grounds off Western Ave, no shade there either. Just after you cross the Cimarron River headed West about a mile is a RV park down along the river. There will be deer and other wild life running through the park. There are trucks on US 54 but its never been a problem for me. They most likely will be driver faster than you. Dorothy's house was an old farm house built in the late 1800's and moved to town a bunch of years ago to become Dorothy's house
