- Terry_25ExplorerWe use US219 to I80E to US322 to US220 which becomes I99 to Cumberland, MD, then I68 to I70 and then I270 in Frederick to I495 to US1. Scenic, if you like mountains but you won't set any speed records. All in all a pleasant ride.
- ACZLExplorerFrom the Falls you can go 219 south to 86 east to 15 south to Harrisburg to 83 S 695 west to 95 south to College Park.
OR: Go east on 90 to Syracuse to 81 south to 83 south (see above from here)
Probly less hills, twists and turns on 90/81. - julieoExplorerThis is the first time in the area for us. Is there a reason to stay away from Harrisburg? We will have a tow car also.
- Terry_25ExplorerNo reason to avoid Harrisburg but the traffic south of Hburg on 83, 695, and 95 will be heavier than the more western route. Perhaps best to work your way around Hburg to pick up US15 again which will lead directly to I270. As ACZL suggests it may be best for you to stay on the interstates and go to I70 from I81. A lot of choices. You definitely want to avoid rush hours between Baltimore and DC.
- julieoExplorerThank you!
