- darsben1ExplorerAt the Pennsylvania, New Jersey border there are 2 rest areas. One before the Delaware water gap bridge and one at milepost 8 in New Jersey. This puts you about 60 miles from New York.
If you want too stay close to the GWB take I 80 to I95 south the NJT and go to the Lombardi rest area about 15 miles south.
Stay in rest area. That puts you about 20 miles from the GWB - mikeandlisaExplorer

If coming down I-87 or I-86/NY 17, Harriman State Park (which seems to be in the reservation system as Beaver Pond SP campground) may be a reasonable possibility. It's just north of the junction with I-287.
Thank you. - mikeandlisaExplorer

We could but I need to find a boondocking spot close to the bridge.
We have a place to stay in Carmel NY but I'm not sure how to get to the Throgs Neck while staying off the parkways. I was thinking of taking 684 to White Plains and then over to 95. I'm not sure at what point 684 turns into a parkway. - DrewEExplorer IIIf coming down I-87 or I-86/NY 17, Harriman State Park (which seems to be in the reservation system as Beaver Pond SP campground) may be a reasonable possibility.
