Pump my own diesel in NJ all the time, legally. They sometimes get annoyed at me when I pump my own gas. But there is no reason I should have to wait for several minutes for service when the tank could have already been filled. But think of it the other way. Drivers who have always been in NJ go to another state and have no idea how to pump fuel into their vehicles! Yikes.
