WE live in mid eastern,Pa. Our route was Pa Turnpike to I-70. A really nice campground is east of Daytona called Buck Creek State Park. Nice sites, nice lake, $26 a night for electric. Kept on 70 to I-74 then I-72 to State Route 36 across Missouri. It's a nice 4 lane highway 65mph with less traffic than the interstates. Along there are 2 nice Missouri State Parks, Long Branch and Pershing. I believe it was $19 a night with electric. From Rt 36 to I-29 to I-80. Nice Iowa State Park 10 miles east of Nebraska City called Waubonsie. $16 a night for electric. On I-80 in Nebraska we stayed at Ogalla Recreation area. Nice state campground with views of the lake.$18 a night for electric plus $6 entrance fee. Shower houses weren't in the best shape but otherwise a nice campground. We stayed at Madison in Yellowstone which was one of 3 open in mid May. On the way back, we stopped at the Harold Warp Pioneer Museum in Minden, Nebraska. If you like history, old cars, trucks, motocycles or snowmobiles, you'll love this place. Lot's to see.Definately worth a few hours.
