NJ turnpike or garden state parkway to Wildwood NJ.
Heading to Wildwood from north of Hartford, Ct. Leaving around 6 am Sunday morning, what would the best way to go?

- I’m here now at Beachcomber. I took the GSP down from Jersey City (Liberty Harbor). It was smooth sailing for the most part. Some sections will beat you up.
- Enjoy! We're heading to Wildwood later this month (not camping) and are looking forward to it. Just got back from LBI and except for one day of rain, it was beautiful. Water is in the low 70s which is just right.
- Thanks everyone, the ride was great. GSP for the most part is a great road. Now for a week of family fun.

- Agree, you want to take the GSP. You should be ok traffic wise early on a Sunday.
- Garden State Parkway - NJ Turnpike goes too far west after the Woodbridge area. Either road could have heavy traffic but you should be early enough to miss the worst of it.
