NM 64 Tierra Amarilla to Taos
How is this route in August for a motorhome with a toad? Thanks for the information.

Between Tierra Amarilla and Tres Piedras, you'll pass through some high country with some spectacular views, especially just after you top out of the climb. No long, steep grades per se.
From Tres Piedras into Taos, it's basically some gentle rolling hills, essentially flat. Watch for the Earthship community on your left as you get around 10 miles out from Taos. And be prepared look only straight ahead as you pass over the gorge bridge. It's only 560+ feet down to the water.
