No motor home permit and no tourist permit

We have run into several people through the years who were in the same boat.
IF they are lucky, nothing will happen. They will just drive to the border, provide their ID to enter the US and be on their way. They have no reason to stop on the Mexico side because they don't have a TIP to turn in, and Mexico doesn't want the FMM's back. I'd be crossing every body part I have to be sure nothing happens on the way out!
Between the knowledge that Mexico officially doesn't want the visa's back, and 10 year permits, we have not "checked" out of Mexico in more than 10 years, just driven to the US border and crossed.
