The Missouri River crossing on I90 in S Dakota is somewhat memorable, with a L&C museum and some grades (and COE campground). I don't recall much from the I94 crossing. The Teddy Roosevelt Nat Park further west felt like the first view of the 'West'. Otherwise my memories of I94 are of a cross wind, and long days covering the whole state in one day. The west end of US2 used to be busy with limited camping due the oil boom. I remember Grand Forks mainly for the flat, sugar beets, and warm buggy summers (I spent several summer school sessions as UND).
