North from Cheyenne, to Custer, SD

Question

I need some info on this route I'm thinking about taking in a few weeks. I'll be heading north out of Cheyenne, WY and heading to Custer, SD. The question I've got is about those tunnels and any other problems I might run into alone the way. Any info will be nice.

don't know how you are going but the only tunnels i am aware of is in custer state park.

A few years ago we followed this route: I-25 N. to US 20 to US 18 to SD 89.No tunnels. The tunnels are after your RV is safely parked near Custer. You would not want to miss the drives on Iron Mountain Road and Needles Highway, but you would far less want to try either with an RV of any type.BTW, we stayed at Custer's Gulch RV Park and very much enjoyed it.

Can you help you a bit from Cheyenne to Deadwood we take I-25 N to 26 to 270 to 18 to 85 Google going thru Lusk good roads no problems but fill up any time you can if below a 1/2 tank.
