Go to Colorado 1st and then everything in the South is easy.

I'm not familiar with that area, but looking at the Google maps, I-49 runs near the State Park, so interstate travel will be no problems in that area, (or anywhere). Blow up the area with Google Maps in Satellite view, and you'll see lots of 18 wheeler semi trucks on I-49. If they can do it, any RV can do it too.

Then the road that leads to the State Park is is 74 (West Devil Den Road). Here again, blow up the maps in Satellite view and it looks like 74 is a 2 lane road with a couple switch backs along the side of the hills the closer you get to the park.

Now look at the satellite maps of the actual park, and you'll see campers in some of the campsites. All there appear to be longer RV, trailers.

So you know .... if others can do it... you can too. Go have fun and don't fret. Just drive careful as you always should, think "safety first" over "speed, and I we've go to just get there right away or we'll just met ... attitude" and you'll be fine!

Looking at the State Park web site and the Google maps and the on-line photos, this might be a destination point for us in our near future!

We did I-49 up to Fayetteville in a motor home and it was an easy ride.

Turning on terrain in Google Maps, it looks like the road from I-49 to the SP runs along a ridge.

Google EARTH has an elevation feature. Set a route and then right click on the route to get elevation. Here's what I get from Fayetteville to Devil's Den. You leave I-49 around mile 20.

I was there in the sixties, and the road is probably much different now. But then, if towing.... you would be “looking at your own taillights” pretty often!

Exit I-49 at West Fork; follow highway 170 west to Devils Den. (Google maps is not showing exit numbers, but it's about mile 65. )

DO NOT take the other possible exit to highway 74. That way is not recommended for rvs.

I go up I49 to Fayettville & then east over to Huntsville/Berryville area . I have no problems with our 35fter on any part of the hwy

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE AR HWY 74 to Devil’s Den with a rig your size.

Hwy 220 from Cedarville is the least traffic, least grade into Devils Den, however it is 15 miles of unpacked road.

Hey 170 from West Fork is my preferred route. There is a mildly steep uphill grade from West Fork. The grade down into the campground is quite steep for the last half mile. Neither is a challenge to your truck.

270 is a good 2 lane road, but not much shoulder. Just take it easy and enjoy the view.

The best sites are in a level shaded two loop full hookups area right near where 170 meets 74 and 220.

Call the park before you leave West Fork, or other entry route and verify which space you will be using. Drop the trailer before you go to register.

There is not room for your trailer at the park office.

There is no cell service or TV/ radio reception in the main area of the park. It is a steep sided valley and the campground is on the bottom alongside the creek.

Devils Den has been my favorite campground anywhere since my first visit in Oct 1970. I don’t get back there as much as I like. Usually only once a year. But I love it.

You can reserve, and reservations are recommended. (It's a popular place.)

We day tripped down into NW Arkansas during our stay in Branson last spring. I am an experienced mountain driver, but driving the Ozarks is a whole ‘nother experience. Continually, constantly curve after curve after curve of windy highway for seemingly hundreds of miles. I respect those that live there and drive those roads for a living or a lifetime.
