Obtaining permits while in Mexico
A friend of a friend..yes really...contacted me yesterday. As we are long time Rvers here, my friend thought I might to able to advise her. She is traveling alone in Mexico and is now in Veracruz...

Update. When I did not hear from her yesterday I thought she was still waiting. Turns out she did hear from the consulate the afternoon before and they told her no choice but to drive back and good luck. She was still undecided but woke up and just decided to go. Got on the road very early and drove to sunset.
Back on the road early today and about a half day now from Reynosa. Just called me from a gas stop.
She was stopped once going thru a city. Transito pointed at her windshield. She pulled over, pleaded her case and he was kind enough to to let her proceed. She is pretty stressed right now but hanging on a lot better than I would be!
We have not crossed at Reynosa for many years and I cannot recall..anyone know if immigration/banjercito is at the border or at km26?
