Today I will start insulating under my trailer. I bought all the materials yesterday.
I am going to use the 1" inch Owens Corning Foamular 150 Pink panel type insulation.
Then I will close off the underneath with Coroplast. I will attach the Coroplast with sheet metal screws into the frame and with a bead of sealant all around in the mating surface and the edges.
I am going to also fill any gaps in the underbody where pipes go in with foam insulation.
The Pink stuff will be held in place by battens which will bend in an arc with their "feet" against the frame rails putting pressure upwards on the insulation. This is admittedly an experiment. I don;t really want to screw into the insulation or glue it if I can help it.
I will post some photos as I go. Probably this afternoon.
All good ideas will be appreciated.
