Well one thing is for sure. We will find out whether the naysayers or the optimists are right.
I put a lot of faith in my own experience and that of those living in Alaska we have heard from so far. I suspect the conditions will not be all that bad.
HOWEVER! We all know that March is "the cruelest month". It certainly can be weather-wise and that conditions can change in a matter of hours.
So as I go along I will report regularly when I have access,about the conditions with photos of the road and the animals we meet along the way.
And it may seem odd to some but my biggest concern is how to keep my pooch warm on the way. He normally rides in the back of the truck (it has a canopy and a Bedrug. He has his own elevated platform bed so he can see out. I can bring him into the cab, but I don't want to. So I will have to find a way to keep him warm.
