I live in a suburb of Cincinnati. I will never again go through or around Atlanta. I've tried Sundays, and any time of day but after dark. If it isn't a wreck that stops traffic, its construction. And nobody will let you in when you come to the inevitable "right lane exits" signs.
I cut over to I-65 in Louisville and take it all the way to the Florida panhandle. Then I-10 East to I-75 for the west coast of Florida or I-95 for the east coast. I-65 is a good road and not nearly as crowded. Is it longer? Yep. But my blood pressure is a lot lower.
