Also stayed at Poplar Grove, August 2014. A bit out of the way, but drove to the Car Park and rode the buses. Very impressed finding out the buses have their own freeway into the city of Ottawa. Our memory of Ottawa was still very vivid later on, in our trip, and finding out in Washington, DC that a soldier guarding the War Memorial was killed and the rifle bearing extremist later stormed the Parliament building. Everything had seemed so quiet and well directed there to us, then.
