Mexican government offices accept checks and credit cards especially in CDMX:
Las contribuciones y todo crédito fiscal en la CDMX podrás liquidarlo en efectivo, cheque o tarjeta de crédito (excepto American Express) o giro bancario (art. 37, CFDF).
