Here I sit on the banks of a beautiful river in Northwest Wisconsin, thinking about the most amazing trip we ever had, it was one year ago today that we left for Alaska in 2013. Nothing we will do this year can compare to the adventure at every turn last year. When we got back last year I was so happy that my 8960 mile trip was over. But now all I can think of is a return in 2015. We know the way, and how to do it. This should even make a return trip even more enjoyable. I can even feel the soothing effect of Liard Hot Springs yet!The only solution like Willie Nelson sings... "On the road again (2015)!Have a happy and safe year on the roads!

One year ago today I started (BLET) basic law enforcement training. I would love to go to Alaska one day too. Glad you had a great trip. Jayco

Leaving in a couple of weeks to join up with a childhood friend and her husband for the RV trip back home. She wants to show her husband, who has never been there, where we grew up. We've got a string stretched from down here to up there with friends on the northern end tugging on it to get us there. It's probably been about 45 years since either of us has been back and we're both looking forward to the trip and all the activities already planned when we get there. We'll see if Thomas Wolfe was right when he wrote "You Can't Go Home Again".

Yep we went last year. I can't believe it's been a year and can't believe we've been there and back. We planned the trip for 2 years because we figured it would be the only time we ever went. What a great trip. It started in May and ended in August. If you're not tired of reading Alaska blogs, here's mine!

We're going back in 2015! It was a fantastic trip in so many different ways. After years of casual discussion we were off in 2013 on our "Once in a life time trip, cross it off of our bucket list". But along the way it turned into an adventure and we knew we were going back.

The sights, the tours, the excitement and the people all call us back.

Someone asked about blogs and I did keep one for our 2011 and 2012 Alaska trips. You will have to wade through or figure out how to navigate to June 10, 2011 and June 22, 2012 to get to the Alaska portion. Hope you can find it because I did include some really nice pictures and I have been told that my writings are such that people feel they are right there with me.
