Just a thought but school bus training is usually free ,does not take too long and you are road tested by your instructor (not MTO) on the same roads you train on.So you do not have to go through the process with a mto examiner.
Fairly painless ,some companies will require you to acually drive kids to school :-) be surprised how many quit after a few days.
hone eagle, I'm not sure if I'm completely out of the woods yet on the issue. I'm not sure if the MTO knows the GVWR of my truck or if they are just looking at the RGW. I plan to wait until renewal time, the notification comes early enough so that I can go through the CVOR hassle if needed. I haven't had renewal issues in previous years, not sure if this CVOR requirement is something that's starting to be enforced this year or not.
