If your truck is 6000 kilograms or less your truck is exempt. Also if the combined weight of truck and trailer is less than 11000 kilograms you are exempt. We carry our weight combined and loaded sheet from going over the scales and a copy of both of these reg with us in the truck. Not sure OPP gets it and not sure it would hold up but they seem to be blitzing small utility trailers pulled by larger trucks. That's what the OPP said to our friends.
