Ontario waterside rving

Hi all,
Looking for some suggestions for locations in Southern Ontario for some waterside rving, dry or full hook up.
We used to go to Quinte Isle Campark right on Lake Ontario, but this has been changed for the upcoming season to full time mobiles, looking for any suggestions for this area.

We like to camp at Rondeau Provincial Park. The only problem is so do lots of other people. Great place to stay during the week

It is not in Southern Ontario but Smugglers Cove Campground near Picton was a great stay for us. Very friendly people and the view over the water at sunset is Beautiful.

We made a short video of our stay there.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park has some nice waterfront spots in that general area. They are highly desired, so book early.
Sandbanks is our favourite larer in the summer. Those are an artform to book for the handful that are on the water though.
  • There is a resort that has spaces for RV and it is on Rice Lake which has a beach, swimming, fishing, rental boats. It is called Golden Beach Resort or Southview Cottages and is 20 minutes south of Peterborough, Ontario.
  • Cathcart Park on the St. Clair River south of Sarnia. Watch the freighters on the river.

  • We get a site along the water at both Chippewa Creek and Byng Island. We usually hit both up at least once each camping year. They are both on rivers not lakes, not sure if that matters. Byng is on the grande, and Chippewa is on the Welland river, neither are great for swimming. We fish at both though and the kids have a lot of fun.

  • One of our favorite camping spots --anywhere -- is the Fifty Point Conservation Area near Grimsby on the Lake. Camping sites are not on the lake, but only a nice hike away. Convenient to Niagara Falls.
