Can't speak to the OP's reasons, but we try to live by the 2-2-2 rule - drive about 200 miles, get there by 2pm, stay at least 2 weeks. Of course, we're retired fulltimers and realize lots of folks don't have that kind freedom. Apparently the OP does . .
