How is highway 42 from the I-5 at Roseburg to Coos Bay. We will be traveling in caravan, a 38ft MH with toad and a 36ft 5er. Planning a trip for May.
Thanks.
It's a good two lane road that lots of RVs and trucks take it all year long. My neighbor has a DP 40' with a tow and does this road several times a year, Iam 40' total and do it too with no problem. - D_E_BishopExplorerHaving driven that road many times I have come to be a little critical of caravans of RVs. Two RVs traveling together and trying to stay together can hold up traffic for miles. If you do take any road from 5 to 101 please don't jam things up, drive spread out, please separate your rigs by 3 or 4 hundred yards and use the pull outs.

- kalynzooExplorerThanks for your replies. As a note, we've been RVing 35 plus years, and the term caravan means we will end up at the same location every few hours. We check on each other by phone, often keep each other in sight, but never represent ourselves as a "road train." Just sayin, but thank you, you make a good point for all travelers to remember. Share the road.
- LaurenExplorerWish all "caravans" thought the courteous thoughts yours does!
The road is good - dips and curves but nothing serious.
