How is the traveling from Newport down 101 for 34' fifth-wheel? Any suggestions for places to stay.

Doing the Oregon Coast (Hwy 101) is part of a must for any "real" RVer.
Starting about now and through the summer you will have plenty of company in every size and manner of RV under the sun.
101 is a piece of cake the entire way...and breath taking beautiful. It is not, however a 70mph Interstate. Tons of private campgrounds...but I suggest any of the first rate Oregon State Parks and there are lots of them the entire Coast.
btw...we spend 3+ months a year wandering up and down Oregon Hwy 101 along the coast.
